My ongoing research involves examining the strategies individual speakers use when asked to clarify their speech, the effectiveness of these strategies as evaluated by (hearing-impaired) listeners, and how difficult speakers find it (in terms of cognitive effort and speech motor control) to keep up this clear or enriched speech.
